It Came from Oshkosh Sci-Fi Short Film Project

Bring your creative ideas to the silver screen!
B-movies, creature features, campy classics - they’re so bad they’re good. This summer, unleash your creativity and make your own cheesy sci-fi short movie. It may be campy, set in a fictional space city, or showcase the tricks of stop-motion animation. The one thing it can’t be, is too serious!

Have fun learning about the process of writing, directing, editing and screening a movie. Use your own equipment and props, or drop in and use the equipment in our Tech Lab. It Came from Oshkosh is open to all ages and films may be submitted by individuals or teams.

Submit films starting Mon., Aug. 5. Deadline to submit is Fri., Aug. 23 at noon.
Movies selected for screening will be shown at Time Community Theater on Sat., Aug. 31 at 2 p.m..

Our technology librarian used stop-motion animation in her creature feature.

This film short was made with OpenShot Video Editor, which you can use in our Tech Lab (see Tech Open Lab hours above).
