The first of a trilogy, this believable, high interest book about a Jewish boy during WWII is riveting. Best for older, grade school-aged kids.
I hadn't heard of this series until I ran across this book on the library shelf and was intrigued. I enjoy novels with world-building, so I knew I would like this one which is solidly in the steampunk subgenre, The somewhat sophisticated themes of gentrification and family/friends are presented in a tween-friendly way.
Is imitation really the sincerest form of flattery? This story in the Itty Bitty series aims to find out. I chose this book as a favorite from the series since I thought this topic would be relevant for many youngsters, whether they're imitating or imitated.
