Enjoy marches performed by the Navy Band Great Lakes.  This talented woodwind ensemble of the prestigious Navy band will play marches and other songs from the World War I era.

Wisconsin Remembers: A Face for Every Name

This traveling exhibit features a photo for each of the 1,161 Wisconsinites officially listed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. The exhibit also includes additional photos for names that are listed on the Highground Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Neillsville.  Wisconsin Remembers is a tribute to lost life and lost potential. Sponsored by Wisconsin Public Radio, Wisconsin Public Television and the Wisconsin Veterans Museum.

Lady Be Good
The story of the WWII bomber and her crew
Thurs., Aug. 17 at 6:30 p.m.

Local historian Dick Campbell tells the story of the American Liberator bomber, Lady Be Good, which vanished into the night on April 4, 1943. Discovery of the downed aircraft 15 years later uncovered evidence of the crew’s desperate and unsuccessful attempts to survive in the aftermath.

Don Dunne shares the stories behind the Civil War artifacts on display at the Civil War Museum of Kenosha. Learn about the Upper Midwest’s involvement in the war through images, artifacts and stories.

Check out displays on 2nd floor of books featuring historical accounts of war and novels set in wartime.
