Blackout poetry is when you take a written piece of text from a book or magazine and cross out some words in order to come up with your very own poem. Printed materials will be provided.

At the end of the session, you will have writen your life story in six simple words. Not possible? Attend and see!

Whether you want to squeeze in some reading or escape the heat, we hope you’ll join us for a fun evening. Arrive between 7 and 7:30 p.m. and enter through the parking lot doors. The event ends at 10 p.m., so please plan for a ride home. Bring a book (or check out one of ours!), dress comfortably and experience the library after hours. Refreshments and games provided.
