Important Dates for the 2024 Election Season

n the City of Oshkosh, you may vote Early In Person Absentee Voting two weeks prior to an election at the City Clerk’s Office. Please check the City of Oshkosh City Clerk Elections website page for up-to-date information.

  • February 6, 2024 Absentee/Early Voting Begins for Spring Primary: 19 E Irving Avenue, Oshkosh WI 54901
    Tuesday 02/06/2024 through Friday 02/09/2024 from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
    Monday 02/12/2024 through Thursday 02/15/2024 from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm and Friday 02/16/2024 from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • February 20, 2024 Spring Primary
  • March 19, 2024 Absentee/Early Voting Begins for Spring Election: 19 E Irving Avenue, Oshkosh WI 54901 (times to come)

Absentee Voting Information
Instructions for Wisconsin Absentee Voters

By U.S. Mail
Visit www.myvote.wi.gov to request an absentee ballot.

**Absentee voters can not use the drop box at City Hall to return their absentee ballots**
Absentee ballots must be submitted directly by the voter and not by another individual, except as explicity allowed by law. Voters may return their ballot to:

  1. the City Clerk's office on the first floor of City Hall, 215 Church Ave., between 8:00a.m. and 4:30p.m. Mon-Fri
  2. their polling place on Election Day
  3. sent to the City Clerk's office through the United States Mail.

Early In Person Absentee Voting (Early Voting)
***Find your municipal clerk's office

You can vote absentee at your local municipal clerk's office. If you apply for an absentee ballot in your municipal clerk's office, or another designated location for in-person absentee voting, you will vote your ballot immediately in the clerk's office, seal your ballot in the proper envelope, and return it to a member of the clerk's staff. No ballots may be taken out of the clerk's office. You will need to show your acceptable photo ID for voting when voting by in-person absentee ballot.
Each city, village and town in Wisconsin is responsible for setting the dates and hours of in-person absentee voting for their municipality.  More information about acceptable photo IDs can be found at bringit.wi.gov.

In Person: You may request and mark an absentee ballot in person at the City Clerk's Office in the two weeks prior to an election.
