Tween Book Club via Zoom
Meets the first Friday of the month at 4:30 p.m. on the Zoom app.
Ages 9 - 11
We've moved Tween Book Club online. You're invited to participate virtually using your computer or mobile device. It's as easy as 1, 2, 3!

  • Step 1 - Request a FREE copy of the month's book (supplies limited to the first ten requests). Call the Children's Department at 236-5208 or email and include your name, address and phone number in your message.
  • Step 2 - We'll mail the book to the address you provide along with a Zoom link and password. The book is yours to keep!
  • Step 3 - Join the Zoom meeting and share your thoughts. You can participate as much or as little as you'd like. New members are always welcome!

Adeline M., Children's Librarian, will host the discussion.

The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo
Once upon a time in the far away kingdom of Dor lived a brave and virtuous mouse with comically oversized ears who dreamt of becoming a knight. Banished from his home for having such lofty ambitions, Despereaux sets off on an amazing adventure with his good-hearted rat friend Roscuro. The two go on a very noble quest to rescue an endangered princess and save an entire kingdom from darkness.
