Supporting our Monarch Population

Girl Scouts Callie Rudoll and Natalie Larsen are working to install a Monarch Garden in Rusch Park to earn their Silver Badges. You can support their efforts during this hands-on, interactive program. Shannon Davis-Foust, Ph.D., UW Oshkosh Biology & Environmental Studies Program and President of Wild Ones Fox Valley Area Chapter, will provide a deeper understanding of the importance of this pollinator. UW Oshkosh Entomologist, Robert Mitchell, is bringing monarch and other butterfly specimens to examine up close.

Callie and Natalie have also created a scavenger hunt featuring the ten stages of the monarch’s life cycle. Ask for a playing card at the Children's Service Desk to begin your search!
