REPORTS TO: Head of Children’s and Family Outreach Services
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master of Library Science degree from an ALA accredited institution.
POSITION INFORMATION: The Oshkosh Public Library is seeking two full-time librarians for our Youth Services Team whose talents, knowledge, and customer skills can bring our services to the next level. One position will have a teen/YA focus and one position will largely serve birth-12 years. However, both will be called on to help where needed for all youth services. Interest and experience creating and supporting STEM programming is highly desirable, as is a penchant for learning and utilizing new digital platforms. We would like to hear from positive, dynamic candidates who embrace change while focusing on evolving community needs. These individuals will possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills in general. They are excited by building relationships with children, teens and their families, assessing their needs while providing services both inside and outside of the library. These are full-time positions that include evening and weekend hours. Oshkosh Public Library provides a full range of services to 82,000 area residents from a historically significant building. Oshkosh is situated in east-central Wisconsin, on the western edge of Lake Winnebago.
