The library will provide boxes of all sizes and plenty of other supplies for space architects to construct an extraterrestrial New Oshkosh under the library’s dome. The activity is free and open to all during library hours.
Librarian Sandy Toland says programs like Build a Space City allow people the opportunity to expand their knowledge and learn by doing.
“Pop culture is full of the “what if” of space. Space City gives the next generation of creators and planners a platform to realize their own personal ‘what if.’ In addition, these types of projects are often a catalyst for curiosity and encourage a deeper interest in a topic.”
