Summer Reading Storytime

Enjoy storytime with a construction theme! Stories will show how toold and machines are used to build all kinds of things.  Decorate and take home your own hard hat.  Designed with preschoolers in mind, but all ages are welcome.

Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins (Gr. 4-7)

For kids who have already read Gregor the Overlander, or are just reading it now, or hope to read it in the future, this session included listening to dramatized excerpts from the book, talking about its fantastic characters, and making a 3-D paper cave.

Digging to China
Make a terracotta warrior or horse out of clay, just like one of the 8,000 ancient sculptures that were found in China! If you love playing with clay and hearing about archaeological finds, you'll dig this program. (Gr. 2 and up)
