Adult Summer Reading Program
How the Time Flies!
May 27 - Aug. 29
Lakeflies are invading the Oshkosh Public Library's Adult Summer Reading Program beginning May 27th! The library stacks have been invaded for years by phenomena and activities like butterfly catching, bee-keeping, and entomology. Explore not only them, but musical movements like "The Beatles."
Read just 20 minutes a day--anything you like. Best sellers, the classics, graphic novels, histories, romance--it’s up to you. No time for a book? Magazines and newspapers count as well. You can even read to a child, or have a child read to you. Too busy swatting flies to hold a book? Try a downloadable audio book or e-book or listening to a book on CD. Visit the For Readers page for reading suggestions, blogs, booklists, & online reader tools.
Recommend a book to a fellow reader for additional entries in the weekly prize drawings.
Submit your recommendations online or drop off your coupon at the library.
Here’s how it works:
- Sign up at the library to get your packet of tickets, or by submitting this online form.
- For each 20 minutes that you read, check a box on your summer reading ticket or submit your minutes online.
- After you check off seven boxes, you can drop your ticket at the second floor Reference Desk for our weekly drawings.
Winners will choose from an array of prizes! Hang, crawl or fly in to the Oshkosh Public Library to see "How the Time Flies!" Questions? Call 236-5205.
