Adult Summer Reading Program

Catch the Reading Bug

Oshkosh Public Library
May 27 - August 29, 2008

You'll be busy as a bee this summer, checking out and reading your favorite books from the library. And we have a swarm of titles to choose from! How about "Charlotte's Web" by E.B. White or Franz Kafka's "The Metamorphosis"?

May 27 marks the start of this year's Adult Summer Reading Program. But you can sign up any time until the last week-the program ends August 29. Just sign up at the first Floor Information Desk to receive your packet of tickets. For each 20 minutes you read, check off a box on your ticket. After you check off seven boxes, you can drop your ticket at the Information Desk for our weekly Friday drawings. You can also sign up and submit your tickets using the online form.

Weekly winners will get to choose from an array of prizes displayed in the lobby case. CDs, DVDs, gift certificates, and items from the Friends of the Library Store are some of the prizes. And of course, books! We've got romances, mysteries, best sellers, nonfiction, cookbooks, and more!

Loved the book you read and want to tell the world? Just fill out one of the Reader Recommendations tickets from your packet or submit a review online. It will give you another chance at winning a prize and we'll add your reviews to our web site.

No time for a book? Magazines count as well, so do newspapers and books on tape and CD. Have you tried an e-book or a downloadable audio book? Read to a child, or have a child read to you.

Don't let the summer fly by without reading a few good books. Whether a beetle, butterfly, or grasshopper, you can catch the reading bug at the Oshkosh Public Library.

Any questions? Call the Information Desk at 236-5202.
