Stardust by Neil Gaiman
I had seen the movie and really enjoyed it so I tried the book. This is the first time I liked the movie better. The story was mostly the same but the book lacked many details. Its an adult faerie tale and a love story about a man who goes searching for love and finds it in an unexpected place. Good to give book and movie a try. –Gretchen

Frightful’s mountain by Jean Craighead George
The most unbelievable part of this story is based on an incident that actually happened. A falcon built a nest under a bridge and stayed even when men working on the bridge couldn’t be delayed. –Dorothy

Youth/Teen Books

Untamed by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast

The latest installment in the House of Night series will certainly not disappoint fans.  Kalona has taken over House of Night, and it is up to Zoey and her gifted friends to save the school.  We see a maturity in Zoey's character as she accepts responsibility and forgets past mistakes.  This is definitely worth the read if you want romance, action, and fantasy all in one book.  --Kristin

I had trouble in getting to Solla Sollew by Dr. Seuss

Dr. Seuss is an all time favorite for just about anyone.  For those who have not yet picked up a Dr. Seuss book, I highly suggest it.  May it be for your own enjoyment as an adult or for the enjoyment of reading it to a child, they're such fun and exciting books to read.  From rhymes to interesting places to "go"/"visit" (even if they are not real) it's an enjoyable adventure for all.

So head on out to the local library and pick up one of my favorites, "I had trouble in getting to Solla Sollew" by Dr. Seuss.  It's an incredible adventure on the way to finding peace and quiet, with just a few indescribable incidents along the way.  --Deirdre

Amelia's war by Ann Rinaldi

Amelia lived in Hagerstown, Maryland, during the Civil War and the history part of this book is factual.  Amelia's crucial part in saving the town is fiction.  No one ever found out who actually did the deed.  --Dorothy
