New for interlibrary loan requests beginning Jan. 2008:

In order to balance the number of interloan requests received and to allow prompt processing of requests, library staff will accept and process a limit of five requests per week from any one person. (Monday through Sunday will be considered the week.)(new, January 1, 2008)
DVDs, VHS videos and popular music CDs that are less than one year old cannot be requested based on guidelines from the Winnefox Library System. Oshkosh Public Library is a member of the Winnefox Library System. You can check publication/release dates on amazon.com. (new, January 16, 2008)
DVDs, VHS videos and popular music CDs less than one year old can be requested using the Request for Purchase form [1]; however, our budget or other considerations may not permit us to purchase every title suggested.
Oshkosh Public Library will no longer renew items.

Search BadgerCat/Worldcat to find an item from a library outside our system:

Option 1:

Go to BadgerCat [4] (a catalog of the holdings of nearly 500 Wisconsin libraries) or WorldCat [5] (a catalog of the holdings of thousands of libraries worldwide) to find items not owned in our library system. You may fill out an online request form if you would like to request it through interlibrary loan.

Directions: Enter your search (keyword, author, title) and click 'Search'. At the List of Records, double click on the material you wish to request. At the Detailed Record, click on “Borrow this item from another library (Interlibrary Loan-ILL)." Fill in the information for all the lines with asterisks next to them and click 'Submit'.

Option 2:

Print out the item from BadgerCat [4] or WorldCat [5] and bring it to the Reference Desk at the Oshkosh Public Library or call us at (920) 236-5205 to make a request.
