These are FREE, small group session held in the Library’s Technology Lab (Lower Level) and taught by a librarian who can provide personalized instruction and support. Class Limit: Four participants per session. Hands on format.

Word 2010 is one of the most versatile programs in the PC world. Learn the basic layout and capabilities Word has to offer, including basic typing, text editing, saving, and printing.

- The computer keyboard
- Typing & basic text editing
- Cut and paste

- Saving and printing
Skills required: Basic computer skills, i.e. mouse, keyboard, open/close programs

Be introduced to some of Word’s more stylish features beyond the basic typing. Learn to create dynamic and professional looking documents using Word 2010.
- Advanced text editing
- Formatting your document
- Adding headers, footers, page numbers
- Inserting pictures, clip art, shapes, charts, smart art, special characters
- Saving in multiple file formats
Skills required: Basic computer skills; Basic knowledge of Word 2010
