Christopher Paolini

 Teen Author Christopher Paolini

Everyone is waiting for Christopher Paolini's new book, Brisingr, to come out in Sept. 2008. This is the third book in the Inheritance Trilogy series (the first two are Eragon and Eldest).

A regular library user, Christopher started writing Eragon when he was 15 - can you believe it? It took him a few years to finish - it's around 500 pages, after all -  and then his parents published it. Now he's a best-selling author, plus they made a movie based on Eragon.

There's a neat biography about Christopher here and The Christian Science Monitor has all the details of his inspiring story here. Just a little something something to tide you over until Brisingr comes out :)

Author Alex Flinn

Young adult author Alex Flinn was in Appleton recently and spoke at The Harmony Cafe about dating and violence, a common theme in her books, including Breathing Underwater and its sequel, Diva.

You can read an article about her book talk that appeared in the Appleton Post-Crescent on April 17, 2008 here. Note: I don't know how long the article will be available for free so read it asap!
