Daily Parking Permits

Doing research? Staying for more than 90 minutes at the Library? The Library now is selling daily parking permits. Permits, available at the First Floor Public Service Desk, cost $1.50.  The permit is good for the entire day (Mon. - Sat. 9:00 am - 6:00pm) and can be used at other Oshkosh permit parking lots.

Oshkosh Holiday Parade - Sat. Nov. 8

Come see the Library float and have some fun this Saturday at the Oshkosh Holiday Parade.  Parade starts at 10:00 a.m.  Parade starts at Merritt and Main, travels down Main to 6th and then down Oregon.  Libris the Lion and Winnie the Fox will be accompanying the float this year.  Members of TAG (Teen Action Group) will be handing out candy.  See you there!

Women in Aviation Display at Library

 

March is Women's History Month.  Stop in at the Library and see our displays on Women in Aviation.  The EAA has loaned the Library a journal, googles and helmet of a woman aviator, 1930's magazines featuring women like Amelia Earhart and photographs of other women aviators.  Displays are located on the first floor and in the Waters Building.

The Oshkosh Public Library is available 24/7 to answer your homework questions. Use the Oshkosh Public Library's Homework Help Center to access online encyclopedias, homework databases, and websites by subject.

New Digital Collection

New to our digital collections is the Winnebago County Rural Schools. This collection consists of photographs of rural schools throughout the county, many that no longer exist or not being used. This was a joint project with the Forrest Polk Library at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and the Oshkosh Public Library.

New Young Adult Collection

A new YA collection of non-fiction books can be found in OurSpace. It is located next to the new YA items. Books on managing your money, teen health, hobbies and coping with life as a teen can be found in this collection.
