League of Women Voters Forums

The Winnebago County League of Women Voters will be having two candidates' forums for the Circuit Judge and Oshkosh Common Council races.  The forums will take place in Council Chambers, Room 404, Oshkosh City Hall, 215 Church Ave.  They will also be broadcast by Oshkosh Community Media Services on CitiCable 10, WOCT 101.9 FM Oshkosh Community Radio, and by video streaming at www.oshkoshcommunitymedia.org

Candidates include Steve Cummings, Ron Hardy, Steve Herman, John Hinz, Brian Poeschl, Allan Siliman, and Burk Tower

Public is invited; audience members may submit questions for the candidates.  Questions can also be sent in advance to fgmem [at] sbcglobal [dot] net

Debate Under the Dome

Join the Oshkosh Public Library and the Oshkosh Northwestern for election debates under the Library's dome.  The first one is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 3, 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  This debate will feature the Republican candidates in the 53rd Assembly primary race.  The Northwestern will be providing live streaming video on their website.  Also post your issue questions to the candidates on the Northwestern site.

53rd Assembly District (pre-primary) - Weds., Sept 3, 7:00-8:30 p.m.
53rd Assembly District (general election) - Weds., Sept. 24, 7:00-8:30 p.m.
18th Senate District (general election) - Thurs., Oct. 9, 7:00-8:30 p.m.
54th Assembly District (general election) - Thurs., Oct. 23, 7:00-8:30 p.m.

Voter Registration at Library

The Oshkosh Area League of Women Voters will be registering voters at the library today, July 23, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Voter Registration

The Oshkosh Area League of Women Voters will be registering voters on Saturdays and Wednesdays between July 12 and August 9.  Saturday registrations will take place at the Oshkosh Farmers Market, 215 Church Ave., Oshkosh City Hall parking lot from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  Wednesday registrations will be held at the Opera House Square in conjunction with the Wednesday Live at Lunch from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Individuals can also register with their municipal clerk during regular business hours.

The Oshkosh League of Women Voters will be having a candidate forum that will air live on CitiCable 10.  The broadcast is Thursday, March 20 at 6:30 p.m.  Candidates for the Oshkosh Area School District and Winnebago County Board will be participating.
